Along Toorak Road, Toorak Village is shops and cafes at street level with small professional suites over the top of them: advisers, consulting rooms, small agencies. The tenancies are small, the way in is a flight of stairs, and there is never much parking out the front.
None of that makes an office hard to clean, but it changes how the visit runs. Everything we use comes up the stairs with us and goes back down when we’re finished, so you don’t give up a cupboard to a vacuum and a mop bucket. We’d sooner come early in the morning or in the evening, when we aren’t taking a park from one of your clients. Malvern East, where we’re based, is ten to fifteen minutes away.
Stairs raise one question worth settling at the start. The stairwell and landing are the first thing a visitor sees after the street door, and it’s often unclear whose job they are. Tell Ryan whether they belong to your suite or to the building. If they’re yours, they go on the list. If they’re the building’s, we can quote them separately as a common area clean.
What a visit looks like
For a look at how we clean an office, see Pulp Digital’s studio in Richmond. We’re there every fortnight, always outside business hours, and each visit covers the same things: desks wiped with the keyboards moved, screens dusted, the kitchen, the bathrooms, every floor vacuumed and the hard floors mopped. The whole routine is written up here.
Commercial cleaning in Toorak, in a suite above a shop, is that same office clean with your rooms on the list in place of theirs. Pulp switched to us after their previous cleaners became unreliable. If that’s why you’re looking too, say so when you call.

From first call to regular clean
Ryan answers the phone himself, at any hour. He’ll ask how many rooms there are, what the floors are and when the office is empty.
The quote is free. A small office can be priced from those details, and for anything bigger Ryan walks through the space first. The number moves with the size of the floor, how many kitchens and bathrooms there are, the hour and how frequent the visits are, and the pricing guide shows the ranges.
It runs longer than a normal visit and costs more, because skirtings, vents and the tops of cupboards get done properly once and only need keeping up after that.
The same small team comes on the days you picked, with a key and the alarm code, and locks up on the way out. There’s no lock-in contract: change the frequency, pause or stop with reasonable notice.

Things worth asking a cleaner
Who actually turns up?
The same small team. Ryan and Emma quote every job and clean most of them themselves, with Emma leading the cleaning, and the person you ring about any of it is Ryan.
Can you be finished before our first appointment?
Early mornings are fine, as are evenings, overnight and weekends. Tell us what time the first person arrives and we’ll be packed up and gone before then.
Our landlord wants proof of insurance. Can you send it?
Ryan will email the certificate of currency when you ask for it. We’re insured and police checked, which you’d want from anyone holding a key to your rooms.
Do you need a car space or somewhere to store gear?
We need neither. We park wherever we legally can, carry everything up and take it all away again, and the equipment and products are our own.
Send Ryan the address and a rough count of the rooms, or phone 0409 385 707. You’ll have an answer that day. The same goes if your office is in South Yarra, Armadale, Malvern or Prahran.
