Clinic cleaning from a small team in Malvern East

Withers Solutions is a family-run cleaning business in Malvern East. We clean waiting rooms, reception, consulting rooms, bathrooms and kitchenettes for medical, dental and allied health practices within about 25 km. For a free quote, ring Ryan on 0409 385 707 or send the address and number of rooms.

A small practice is quoted from that, the same day. For a bigger clinic Ryan walks through first.

The same small team comes every visit with our own equipment and products. We hold the key and alarm code, and lock up behind us.

Waiting room first, floors last

Patients in a waiting room have nothing to do but look. They notice the skirting boards, the chair arms and the marks around the door handle. So we start with whatever a seated person can see and touch. Floors come last: vacuumed, then mopped.

Before the first appointment or after the last

A consulting room has to be empty to be cleaned properly, so we come before the first booking of the day, after the last one, overnight or at the weekend.

Sharps and clinical waste stay with your provider

Clinical cleaning, and anything involving clinical or hazardous waste, is specialist work. We empty the general bins; your waste provider keeps the rest. If your rooms produce sharps or clinical waste, tell Ryan on the call and he’ll be straight about what is a job for us and what isn’t.

We’re also a small team, so a medical centre needing cleaners on several shifts a day isn’t one for us.

Waiting-room carpet and the first clean

We clean carpet by hot water extraction: dry soil comes out with a vacuum first, then water. Ryan looks first and tells you which marks will shift and which won’t. At the D.W. Lucas Oval pavilion in Malvern East, carpet that looked brown came up grey.

Carpet has to dry before the chairs go back, so we book it when the rooms are empty, as a one-off or on a visit we’re already making. Rooms that have been let go start with a deep clean, then a regular clean keeps them there.

Clinic cleaning questions

How much does medical clinic cleaning cost in Melbourne?

Our regular cleans start from $99 a visit. Across Melbourne, medical, dental and allied health cleaning runs $50 to $85 an hour, 20 to 40% above a comparable office. Your price depends on the rooms, what each is used for and how often we come. A first clean usually costs 1.5 to 2 times a regular visit. The figures are in our price guide.

Do you do clinical cleaning?

Clinical cleaning is specialist work, and so is anything involving sharps or clinical or hazardous waste. Our part is the waiting room, reception, consulting rooms, kitchen, bathrooms and floors. Tell Ryan what each room is used for and he’ll be straight about what is a job for us and what isn’t.

What paperwork do you give a practice before the first clean?

A certificate of currency for our $5 million public liability cover with QBE, and everyone who cleans for us is police checked. If your practice has a site induction, we do it before the first clean. If your building manager wants paperwork, tell us the building and Ryan finds out what’s needed.

Do you take small practices?

Yes. A small practice suits a small team. Send the address, the number of rooms and the hours they’re empty, and Ryan quotes from that the same day. A larger clinic he walks through first, then gives you a flat price you can budget for.

Which suburbs do you take clinics in?

We take clinics within about 25 km of our base in Malvern East. That includes the consulting rooms on Wattletree Road in Malvern, the practices behind Burke Road in Camberwell, the small practices along High Street in Glen Iris and the consulting rooms above the shops in Toorak Village. Not sure about yours? Ring Ryan.
