A workplace has two kinds of glass. The doors and partitions inside get wiped as part of a regular office clean. The windows themselves, inside face and outside face, are a separate job on their own cycle, and that’s what this page is about.

Shopfront glass gets cleaned before the doors open, early in the morning or the night before, so it’s dry and we’re gone when the first customer turns up. We do both faces, the door, and the frames and sills around them.

Office windows are easiest done on a visit we’re already making. We’re in the building after hours anyway, with the key and the alarm code, and it’s the cheaper way to buy it: a separate trip for windows carries its own travel and set-up.

The outside face is the one that suffers. On a shopping strip it faces the road all day and collects road grime and handprints, and near the bay, salt air and wind dirty it faster again.

How often should commercial windows be cleaned?

For most Melbourne businesses: the outside of a shopfront on a main road once a month, or fortnightly if you sell food or sit on a busy corner; the outside of an office above street level quarterly, or twice a year on a quiet street; and glass near the bay every month or two. Glass doors and partitions inside are wiped on every regular clean.

Do you clean both inside and outside windows?

Both faces, plus the frames and sills. If you only want the outside done, or only the inside, say so and that’s what gets quoted. If any of the glass needs rope access or a platform, mention it on the call and Ryan will be straight about whether we’re the right people for it.

Will your window cleaning leave streaks?

It shouldn’t. If you can see streaks once the glass has dried, tell Ryan and we’ll come back and fix it.

Can you add window cleaning to our regular cleaning schedule?

That’s the usual way to do it. We’re in the building after hours anyway, and adding the glass to a visit that’s already booked saves the travel and set-up of a separate trip. It can also be booked by itself, once or on a schedule.

How much does commercial window cleaning cost in Melbourne?
